Sue Lyn Schramm, MA

About

I have worked as an executive and consultant in the Washington and Baltimore metropolitan areas for more than twenty years.

During the 1990s, I was a senior consultant at The Health Care Advisory Board in Washington, DC.  While at The Advisory Board I wrote and edited numerous studies on cutting-edge issues in hospital management.  Later, I served as head of strategic planning at Capital Hospice in northern Virginia, and was Vice President of Planning and Marketing at Montgomery Hospice in Rockville, Maryland from 2001 to 2005.

Since 2005 I have owned my own consulting practice, advising a broad range of clients on strategic planning and market development, both within this region and nationally.  See the Home page for a list of selected clients.

My writing and editing serves both consumer and professional audiences.  In 1998 I researched and wrote a full-length book, Global Capitation, published by McGraw-Hill.  I have also contributed to The Washington Examiner as a writer on food and real estate topics. Now an avid home cook, I worked in my twenties as a chef.

I am originally from western New York state, and still have family in that area.  I was educated at the University of Virginia, where I received a B.A. with Distinction, and at Cornell University, where I graduated with a Master of Arts Degree.
